Throughout this semester I used a lot of different media such as pen, watercolor, charcoal, and pencil. I learned that in order to create my art it takes a lot of experimenting and just pushing through to the end to get a good product. What I envisioned at the start of my work was what I would want my image to look like which was usually just the picture I took of my subject, for example my pen drawings of Claudia and Katie I just wanted it to look like them. Some things that changed as I developed my art was the value range and amount of detail in it. The personal interest that I used to engage in my art making was the fact that it's just fun to make art because it's relaxing and the end result is really rewarding. Some problems I ran into were that when I was working with pen I would make mistakes but had to just keep going because I could not erase anything my solution was again just to keep going to the end and finish it through. There are no distinct feelings or personal meanings in my art because I was just doing it for fun and fulfilling a theme I was given. One artwork that has a meaning behind it is "Red" the meaning is that for me red is a hurt, anger, dark, theme behind it and that's why I made a hand with a cut in it bleeding showing the hurt theme. The imagery and color I used was just colors to convey the message, for "Red" it was the color red and a cut to depict the theme of pain and hurt, and for the unusual viewpoint I did a yellow background to show that its a happy artwork because Norah is my friend and it just has happy vibes. Some details that I noticed about the process were that when I started the art I usually began at the eyes or forehead when I stated to draw the face. The elements of my work that I am satisfied with are that they quite accurately represent the image that I wanted to make. The elements that I want to work on are my ability to shade my art better that I do in pen instead of just stippling. Some risks that I engaged in were the fact that I tried new medias that I don't usually use which was fun and interesting. Some aspects of my art that I got a deeper understanding of were what my style of art is which I think is just being able to accurately draw something in a cool media. Some interactions with my peers that I had while creating my art were just seeing all the different styles and ways of going about the project which was really cool to see the diversity of art making. Some changes that occurred in my art as a result of the interactions I had with my peers were the fact that I saw the different techniques that could be used to make really cool art, which was really cool and interesting.
